The tulip tree is known for its attractive tulip shaped scented flowers of yellowish-green with orange centers which appear after the new leaves. The leaves are large, have a distinctive shape and are green turning golden in Autumn. Prefers well drained rich soil, plant in full sun. Suitable in acid soils, also tolerant to air pollution.
TREE CARE: Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
