Plumcot - Plum/Apricot Cross
Prunus armenica x Prunus domestica
Description: This is a cross between a Plum and an Apricot, with the aroma of an apricot and the flavour of a plum. Medium sized round fruit similar to an apricot with yellow, downy skin that turns red when mature. The orange flesh has a slight apricot tang.
Maturity: Early February
Suggested Pollinators: For Best results plant plum or apricot nearby for cross pollination e.g Mariposa or Storey.
Tree Care: Plant in a sunny position with well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth
